Saïx is an interdisciplinary artist based in Berlin. Her work unfolds a fantasy world and welds together functionality and elaborate dramatism.
Using a welding torch she draws lines on scrap metal, creating sculptural objects and paintings. The pieces like these melted candle holders, turn brutalist altars into romantic ones.
These ornaments are handmade from untreated steel. Rusting is inevitable, but can be slowed down by keeping away from moisture.
