I am glad the tide swept you out,
O beloved,
you of all this ghastly host
alone untouched,
your flesh covered with salt
as with myrrh and burnt iris.

Nina Laguta is a contemporary ceramic artist from Kyiv, Ukraine. Currently based in Berlin. The leading themes of her works are obscure and unknown realms of human feelings and archeology of memories. Her main mediums are clay, minerals and epoxy resin.
Through colours and glaze, she explores tender intimacy and painful experience with surfaces that crystallise, fragment and drain.
